Biography

Rocìo (pronounced as in Ro-ssi-llo is a female name that comes originally from Andalusia through the devotion to the Virgen del Rocio. Also known as Our Lady of the Cures, Rocio means morning dew in Spanish) graduated from Concordia University in 2011 with a B.F.A. in art history. She is a Colombian artist who grew up in Montreal. She is interested in performance art that takes place in different experimental settings. With her practice, she looks on ways to question the morals of contemporary society. As a FEMEN, she is an activist and represents the feminist group here in Canada. She also works as a project manager and an event coordinator in fundraising.
