Fundraising Campaign 2016-2017: Help a funny bird!

Help a funny bird to keep its flamboyant color!

Support your favourite bird with the purchase of a raffle ticket that gives you the chance to win up to $500 in cash.

The $30 ticket includes a $20 donation to Skol and a $10 contribution to the prize amount. You will also receive an official donation receipt for tax purposes.

The draw for the prize (and many other surprises) will take place March 29th, 2017, during a flamboyant and festive soirée hosted by Skol. Each ticket includes admission for two and a free drink.

In order to get to know the centre better, the evening will be hosted by Montreal artist Hugo Nadeau who is also a Skol member. Barbara Claus will presented her installation Petites incarnations (suite)while Arkadi Lavoie Lachapelle will presented fabuler & renaître

During the evening, performance artist Adriana Disman will presented Pink problems: Mani-Cure, where emotional labour meets manicure. She will offer a free pink manicure during which you are invited to share a problem that Disman will try to help you solve. All you have to do is show up in-person!

Skol gets its unique colours though supporting exceptional art and thinking, ceaselessly and adroitly scanning the horizon for the unique and extraordinary. While embracing a wide variety of approaches and perspectives, we especially appreciate emerging and experimental art practices, both local and international.

Being a non-profit species of bird, it’s the support of its community that allows Skol to fly! Well established in its habitat, Skol is an important platform for diffusion and experimentation, a gathering place for artists, members and volunteers. Furthermore, through its educational program, Skol is constantly expanding its audience by offering mediation activities to school and community groups of all ages.

Your donation is essential because it is a real and concrete form of engagement on the part of the cultural community and the public. It will go towards:

– increasing the stability of Skol’s revenue;
– ensuring the continuity of our supplementary programming activities;
– supporting the vitality of Montreal’s art scene.

On behalf of all the people who make our centre an exceptional place, we sincerely thank you for your support.
