Dan Li: Interior Life
Intervention
September 12nd — December 7 2024
Opening on September 12 at 5pm, in the presence of the artist, during the Rentrée du Belgo.
A solo exhibition by
Dan Li
Dan Li is interested in the integration of visual art into architecture and public spaces. INTERIOR LIFE explores the transformations between inner and outer space, between the possible and the impossible, and between the material and spiritual worlds. The artist has always aspired for his works to become a means of healing for everyone’s spiritual world.
In the forgotten nooks and crannies of Galerie passage des membres, the materiality of this intervention in space becomes discreet and subtle, like an invitation to take a better look at places normally neglected by our gaze.
INTERIOR LIFE is a continuation of her DESS graduation work, Interior labyrinth, created in 2010.
Dan Li is a visual artist, independent curator and cultural worker. She holds a university degree in Fine Arts obtained in China in 2001, a National Diploma in Arts plastiques (DNAP) obtained in France in 2004, and a DESS (Diplôme d’études supérieures spécialisées) in Event Design obtained at UQAM in 2010. Born in Changchun, China, Dan Li lives and works in Montreal.
