{"id":13690,"date":"2018-03-30T20:02:59","date_gmt":"2018-03-30T20:02:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/skol.ca\/?p=13690\/"},"modified":"2020-11-18T18:09:12","modified_gmt":"2020-11-18T18:09:12","slug":"workshop-for-the-festival-quartier-en-mouvement-with-caroline-boileau","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/skol.ca\/en\/learning\/workshop-for-the-festival-quartier-en-mouvement-with-caroline-boileau\/","title":{"rendered":"WORKSHOP FOR THE FESTIVAL QUARTIER EN MOUVEMENT WITH CAROLINE BOILEAU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ngg_shortcode_0_placeholderA workshop with Caroline Boileau, in partnership with the Neighborhood on the Move Festival, organized by Innovation Jeunes.<\/p>\n<p>During the festival period, from July 4 to 23, 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skol \/ Innovation Youth collaboration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Skol is proud to collaborate with Innovation Youth, an organization whose mandate is to offer a community space for youth and families living in or frequently visiting downtown, opening up the possibilities of integration into academic, family, and social life.<\/p>\n<p>Skol participates to this mandate by presenting art workshops, given by a Skol member and based on the artist\u2019s process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Workshop description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Creation of a collaborative zine based on walkabouts (strolls) in the neighborhood<\/p>\n<p>Participants explored the neighborhood either alone or in small groups, depending on the approach decided on by the artist. Through a series of walkabouts, participants reflected on public space, on what we see and what we choose not to see, on how we imagine the future of our neighborhoods, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Back at the work table, participants were asked to transform materials collected during the walkabouts (photos, notes, sketches, detritus) through drawing and collage, with the goal of creating a collectively-made zine.<\/p>\n<p>The pages created by the participants were exhibited throughout the three days of the workshop, while the zine itself was assembled over the third day.<\/p>\n<p>Each participant kept a few copies of the zine.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.innovationjeunes.com\/en\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12750\" src=\"http:\/\/skol.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/innovation-jeune.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"106\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>July 4th-28th 2016 <br \/>\nA workshop with Caroline Boileau, in partnership with the Neighborhood on the Move Festival, organized by Innovation Jeunes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":13694,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"ngg_post_thumbnail":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[26,88],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-13690","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-learning","category-projects","nom-caroline-boileau-en"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
