Friday October 24, 5pm-9pm<br \/>\n<em>Open Tuning: Music, Electro-Mechanics, Causality, and FUN<\/em> on Saturday October 25 at 3pm<em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>Project Description<\/h4>\n<p><em>WaveUp<\/em> is a kinetic sound installation that translocates a remote ocean environment in real-time within Skol&#8217;s large gallery space. Outfitted by Kelly with a collection of dynamic speakers, a new sonic environment is created for the gallery through the interpretation of a steady stream of&nbsp; information emitted by Fisheries and Oceans Canada outlying wave data buoys. As ocean waves become sound waves, <em>WaveUp <\/em>permits the public to access a remote natural environment that would otherwise be inaccessible.
