A member of the SKOL Centre is a person engaged in an artistic practice in the field of contemporary art. Members are the heart of the centre: they give it life, shape its orientations, and carry its values.
As a member, you take an active part in the governance of the centre. You have the right to vote at the annual general meeting and are strongly encouraged to join one of our working committees.
Membership means choosing to invest in a shared project and to grow within a community that values your practice and your voice.
SKOL recognizes that it is the members who bring the centre to life. In return for your commitment, the centre commits to:
Criteria: Professional artist active in the contemporary art field, with a 1st or 2nd cycle university degree in visual arts, a clearly articulated critical practice, or peer recognition (prizes, grants, exhibitions).
Artist members have full voting rights at the annual general meeting and are strongly encouraged to participate in committees.
Open to any person wishing to support SKOL — cultural workers, independent creators, media arts professionals, and others who believe in our mission.
Support members have voting rights and may participate in committees.
Open to any patron or organization wishing to offer financial, material, or technical support to SKOL.
