Project Description:
User’s Manual for an Invisible Home explores the notion of ‘feeling at home’ by confronting it with the transformations and upheavals of our decade. In an area where migration, uprooting, fragmentation of traditions, toxicity of everyday materials, surveillance and dematerialization are imposed by a virtual universe, ‘feeling at home’ becomes a fragile and ambivalent notion, where its comforting dimension is crumbling. The artists gathered in this exhibition nevertheless are playing with these threats and paradoxes while infusing the domestic space with a dose of lucidity, handmade resistance and combative joy.
This exhibition is curated by Skol’s curatorial committee:
Stéphanie Chabot, Manolis Daris-Bécotte, Adrien Guillet, Clara Lacasse et Hugo Nadeau.
