GALLERY CLOSED (COVID-19) – INSTAGRAM PRESENTATION OCTOBER 13TH – 16TH, 2020

In order to satisfy the requirements of the Master’s program, Mancy Rezaei’s thesis exhibition will take place as planned even though the gallery is temporarily closed to the public. Being aware that a virtual presentation does not replace an exposition, but nevertheless wanting to promote the artist’s work, Skol presents an artist presentation on Instagram. Follow us!

Project description

Mancy Rezaei’s work focuses on a search for identity linked to Persian material culture. The artist explores her memories of architectural spaces adorned with decorative motifs of Persian tradition. She is interested in the historical, emotional and identitarian relationship that exists between humans and their architectural space. Through drawing, photography, video and mural painting, she attempts to create a dialogue between the imaginary mnemonic space of Montreal and the material culture of Iran.
