Learn

Skol’s educational activities aim to bring artists, visitors, and contemporary art closer together around creative, participatory, and inclusive learning experiences centred on the gallery’s programming. Presentational texts, keys to interpretation, guided tours, meetings with artists, summer student internships (Skool), training workshops, community and school projects are meant to offer individuals and groups of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to establish an active relationship with current art practices and their contexts.

Texts

To broaden reflection on the artist’s practice, a text in electronic and print format accompanies each exhibition.

Keys to interpretation

Artists in the program clarify the meaning and context of their exhibition by providing references that inspire, inform, and investigate their practice. These interpretation keys are available on our website.

Artist talks

Artists meet audiences to share their thoughts on the process that led to the production of the work presented in the gallery while also making connections with their prior work.

Exhibition visits

Guided by direct, informal interaction with the artists exhibiting their work, these tours provide a space for exploring the current exhibition.
