Call for applications : Mentored Graphic Design Project

SKOL is seeking an emerging 2SLGBTQIA+ graphic designer based in Montréal to imagine and develop the visual identity for SKOL’s 2026 queer-focused season.
This is a paid mentorship opportunity. SKOL will offer a flat fee of $2,000 CAD to the selected designer and will provide a professional support framework throughout the creative process, in collaboration with a graphic design studio.
We are looking for a fresh, playful and experimental approach that celebrates queer communities in Québec, past and present.
Location: Within a graphic design studio in Montréal
Project type: Temporary – flexible schedule
Flat fee: $2,000 CAD
Project start: No later than November 7, 2025
First deliverables: December 15, 2025
Season launch: January 15, 2026

About SKOL
Located in Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montréal, SKOL is an artist-run centre that has supported the creation, dissemination, and mediation of visual and interdisciplinary art since 1986. All of its activities are free and aim to foster experimentation, critical reflection, and encounters between artists and the public. Nestled in the heart of the Belgo Building in downtown Montréal, SKOL emphasizes intergenerational, intercultural, and interdisciplinary exchange and stands as a key player in contemporary art in Montréal.

- A short text outlining your approach to the project and the names of three (3) Montréal-based studios you would love to collaborate with (250–500 words);
- A link to your portfolio and/or three (3) examples of your work.
