Dominique Sirois: Factory Cubique

Project Description
With Factory Cubique Dominique Sirois proposes an installation investigating the symptoms of dependence and intoxication as manifested within the workplace environment. Sirois will manufacture sugar cubes in a phantasmagorical laboratory-like environment. Using lighting and sound devices, Sirois plays with notions of security, surveillance and escapism related to workaday cycles. This exhibition is accompanied by a text by writer Francois Turcot.
"The Mason’s Shop" by François TurcotMultidisciplinary artist, Dominique Sirois is working with installation, performance and sound. Her artistic practice is questioning the rapport between art and life and also between reality and fiction. She has participated in several performance festivals both locally and internationally. She has been a member of the collective at work. Her present work deals with reflexions linking art and work. Sirois is finishing a Master degree in “Arts visuels et méditatiques” at UQAM.
